WORK EXAMPLES

CATFISH: THE TV SHOW - MTV

Having spent 6 years as the Lead Editor on Catfish: The TV Show, it remains some of my favorite work. It is a challenging show to edit because it doesn’t look like many other shows on TV (or at least didn’t when I started on Season 2). The content is shot by nearly everyone on set, producers, cast and actual DP’s giving it a user generated feel. Emotionally Catfish runs the gamut, ranging from love story and hope, to horror/thriller despair. Organized collaboration was a must from the producers who hand over cut-down versions of scenes, graphic creations that show what Nev and Max are looking at onscreen, to the music coordinators who helped supply current vocal tracks, this show takes a lot of teamwork to get to the finish line.

THE BATTLE FOR JUSTINA PELLETIER - peacock

Sometimes stories are complicated. Our challenge with this trailer was getting complex medical information delivered to the viewer in the simplest way possible in order to tease the story. This was a big challenge, and looking back I’m proud of what we delivered and our client, Peacock, was happy with the results as well.

DOPESICK NATION - VICELAND

After editing the series Dopesick Nation, Viceland requested shorter-form content that didn’t appear in the series for use on websites and social media. Using interviews not used in the show, we were able to put together multiple short-form content using a mix of stock footage, B-roll shot for the series and interviews. This is one example that follows the specifications that the network requested and was happy with.

VERIZON PRESENTS: THE TEAM THAT WOULDN’T BE HERE - CBS Sports Network

Tasked with creating a compelling story using interview bites, recreation footage, stock footage, music and sound design to recreate NFL players’ harrowing stories involving first-responders. After multiple rounds of internal and external network notes, Verizon kicked off an advertising campaign highlighting many of the same moments from the long-form documentary which aired throughout the NFL football playoffs in 2018.
