Hi there, I’m Collin. I edit documentary films and television from Los Angeles, California.
Whenever I’m asked what I do for a living, I always respond, “I’m a Film and Television Editor,” but that’s a lie. What I should say is, ”I use music, sound and picture to make powerful stories,” I am technical . I don’t edit as much as I create stories using other people’s words. I take pieces of a puzzle and form them together to tell the best story possible. So I’m really a professional storyteller, musician, graphic designer, animator, colorist, sound designer, but mostly I’m a story teller.
Filmmaking is a team sport and post-production is the last chance to get everything just right. I enjoy collaborating with others and refining until the best possible version of the story we’re trying to tell comes out in the locked cut.
